Rule/Account Search

The Rule/Account Search page allows you to search for existing customer-level rules by searching for rules, or rule accounts for cheques or remittance coupons (if configured). Drop-down menus provide the search types and the text box accepts partial search data. If the number of results exceeds the maximum number of returns, users must enter more specific search data.

Note: You do not need to consider character case in your search data.

To search for customer-level rules, or rule accounts for cheques or remittance coupons:

1. Select the type of rule or rule account you want to search for from the drop-down menus:
   • To view a customer's rules, select Rule Description from the search type drop-down menu.
   • To view rule accounts for cheque items, select Cheque from the search type drop-down menu, and then select either Account Number or Routing Transit Number from the item search type drop-down menu.
   • To view rule accounts for remittance coupons, select Remittance Coupon from the search type drop-down menu, and then select either Coupon Type, Field Name, or Zone Name from the coupon search type drop-down menu.
2. Enter data in the search field and then click the Search button.

   Note: To see a list of all selected data, click the Show All button. If the number of results exceeds the programmed maximum, you will have to enter partial data to narrow the search.

   The result table displays the results of your search.

   Note: Click the View () icon next to a result to edit a rule or account rule.
