New Rule Account
The New Rule Account page allows you to add a processing rule to the specified Account and Routing Transit combination for cheque items, or to a specified remittance coupon field.
To create a new cheque item rule account:
- Enter all required rule account information, noting the following:
- The account number and routing transit number you enter must match the deposit item to which you want this rule account to apply exactly.
- You can only assign one autopopulating field rule for each defined custom field.
- To include a rule in the rule account, select the rule name from the Available Rules list, and click the Add >> button. This moves the rule to the Selected Rules list and configures the rule account to include that rule in its processing instructions.
- To remove a rule from the rule account, select the rule name from the Selected Rules list, and click the << Remove button. This moves the rule to the Available Rules list and configures the rule account to omit that rule from its processing instructions.
Tip: You can work with multiple rules simultaneously by pressing and holding the CTRL key while selecting rule names to either omit or include those rules.
- If a suitable rule is not already available, click the Create New Rule button to create a rule.
- When you have finished creating the new rule account, click the Save button to save your changes and return to the Rule/Account Search page.
To create a new remittance coupon rule account:
- Select the Remittance coupon item type.
The page updates to include the remittance coupon-related settings.
- Click the Find Coupon Type link to locate the remittance coupon to which this rule account will apply.
The Remittance Coupons Selection page displays.
- Select the remittance coupon for which you want this rule account to apply.
The New Rule Account page displays, with the selected coupon displayed in the Coupon type field.
- Enter all required rule account information, noting the following:
- When you have finished creating the new rule account, click the Save button to save your changes and return to the Rule/Account Search page.
