Custom Fields For Account
The Custom Fields For Account page allows you to assign custom fields to specific item types for a selected customer account.
- Make any desired custom field assignments for each item type allowed in the selected customer account, noting the following:
- To assign a custom field, first select the item type from the Item Types list, then select the custom field you wish to assign from the Available Customer Fields list, and then click the Add >> button. This moves the field to the Selected Custom Fields list and configures the item type to include that custom field.
- To remove a custom field, first select the item type from the Item Types list, then select the custom field you wish to assign to remove from the Selected Custom Fields list, and then click the << Remove button. This moves the field to the Available Custom Fields list and configures the item type to exclude that custom field.
Tip: You can work with multiple fields simultaneously by pressing and holding the CTRL key while selecting field names to either omit or assign those fields to the selected account.
- The order of items in the Selected Custom Fields list determines the order in which those fields will be displayed to users on the Edit Item page. The field appearing at the top of the list will be the first (left-most) custom field displayed to users. To change the order of a custom field, select the field, and then use the Move Up or Move Down button to alter its position.
- If you are assigning one or more currency-type custom fields and want to require that the custom field (or fields) must equal the item amount of the corresponding cheque, select the Ensure that all Currency Custom Fields, for this item type, add up to the total amount of the item check box.
- If you prefer, you can also filter your view of this page by custom field instead of by item type (by selecting Custom Field from the View account setup by drop-down menu). Doing so allows you to quickly assign a selected custom field to one or more item types.
- When you have finished assigning custom fields to the current account, click the Save button to save your changes and return to the Custom Fields/Account Search page.
