Custom Fields/Account Search

The Custom Fields/Account Search page allows you to search for custom field definitions or custom field assignments.

To search for a custom field:

Note: You do not need to consider character case in your search query.

  1. Select Custom Field Name from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter full or partial data for the custom field definition you want to find in the search entry field.

    For example, if the customer field you are searching for is “Custom Field 1”, entering “custom” or “field” will find this custom field, and any other custom field with a name containing those characters as well. The more characters you enter, the fewer search results you will see.

  3. Click the Search button.

    Note: You can also click the Show All button to see all custom field definitions. If there are too many results, enter partial data to limit the next search, then click the Search button.

    The List of Custom Fields table displays the results of your search, showing a list of custom fields defined for the selected customer.

  4. Once you locate the desired custom field, do either of the following:

Note: You do not need to consider character case in your search query.

  1. Select Account Number or Routing Transit from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter full or partial data for the account or routing transit number you want to find in the search entry field.

    For example, if the account number you are searching for is “123456789”, entering “123” or “9” will find this account, and any other account containing those digits as well. The more characters you enter, the fewer search results you will see.

  3. Click the Search button.

    Note: You can also click the Show All button to see all accounts. If there are too many results, enter partial data to limit the next search, then click the Search button.

    The List of Custom Fields table displays the results of your search, showing a list of accounts (and any existing custom field assignments) for the selected customer.

  4. Once you locate the desired account, click the edit icon () of the account to which you want to assign custom fields or edit custom field assignments.

To create a new custom field:

To begin the custom field creation process, click the Create New Custom Field button, located below the List of Accounts table.
