New Customer - Accounts

The New Customer – Accounts page allows you to add one or more depository accounts to a new customer.

Note: Depending on how your system is configured, some entry fields may be pre-filled for you, in which case you can not change the assigned values.

1. To create a new account, enter all required information (indicated by an asterisk (*)), noting the following:
   • The display name you enter will be used to identify this account within the application.
   • Select the deposit types that will be permitted for this account.
   • Select the default deposit type for this account.
   • Ensure you select the appropriate type from the Depository account type drop-down menu to assign the correct validation pattern to this account.
   • If your system is configured for billing, select the appropriate billing system from the drop-down menu (or select None if this account will not be billed).
   • If you select an ACH clearing channel, you will also need to enter any associated Company identification information.
   • If your system is configured for work type-based account assignment, you will need to select the specific work type and CART you want to associate with this account.

     Note: Once a specific CART has been assigned to an account, that CART can not be assigned to any other accounts with the same work type (as that assigned CART will no longer appear in the CART drop-down menu).

   • If your system is configured to use batch headers, use the Batch header controls to specify whether physical batch headers will be required, optional, or prevented (use a value of None) for branch deposits made to this account.
   • If your system is configured to allow credit- or debit first item ordering, use the Item order controls to select whether the item order for deposits made to this account will be credits-first or last.
   • If your system is configured to allow account-level deposit completion overrides, specify any overrides you wish to enforce for deposits made to this account by setting the appropriate balancing, account, and ignore error settings.
   • If your system is configured to allow account-level overrides to any Single Deposit and Item limits configured for the associated customer, make any overrides to the configured limits as appropriate for this account, using the following guidelines:
     • You can decrease any of the configured default limits. Unset limit values are identified by "--" values and can not be set.
     • Any overrides you make will become the new values used for this account. Users depositing to this account will be subject to whichever deposit limit override (either the limit configured for that specific user or the limit configured for this account) is more restrictive.

       To change a default limit, enter a new value in the corresponding Override field, using the following guidelines:

       Deposit amount ($) – Enter the maximum dollar value you want to permit for a single deposit made to this account.

       Item amount ($) – Enter the maximum dollar value you want to permit for a single item within a deposit made to this account.

       Approved item amount ($) – Enter the maximum dollar value you want to permit for a single item within a deposit made to this account before the deposit must be transmitted by another user.

       Item count – Enter the maximum number of items you want to permit in a single deposit made to this account.

   • If you are defining multiple accounts, enter all required account information for the first account, click the Add Account button, then repeat the process for each additional account. Newly created accounts appear in the list at the bottom of the page.
   • To remove an account, click the delete icon () for the account you want to delete.
2. When you have finished creating all accounts, click the Next button to proceed to the next customer creation step.
