Audit Log Search
This page allows you to search the Capture database for specific audit records using criteria such as customer, application or operation. You can also save the search results to any network accessible location.
Note: You do not need to consider character case in your search data.
- Enter data to define your search.
Tip: The more information you enter, the more specific the search results will be.
- The Create Date range defaults from today to one week ago. You can change these fields to any desired date range, but note that the system keeps audit records for 30 days by default.
- If you want audit records relating to a customer or user ID, enter that data. (You can also leave these fields blank to return audit records from all customers and users.)
- Use the Application drop-down menu to specify audit records generated by a specific application.
- Use the Operation drop-down menu to specify audit records generated by a specific action.
- If you know the number of an audit record, you can enter it in the Logged object ID box. You may have to expand the date range to locate older records.
- Click the Search button.
Note: If the search retrieves more than the maximum allowed records, a warning message appears at the top of the page. This means the displayed results are incomplete (and you should not save them). In this case, you need to enter additional filters to restrict the next search to a usable number of returns.
- Use the View (
) icon in the Tasks menu to view details of a specific record from your search results. - Click the Download Audit Logs link to save the current search results to a file.
