Manage Authentication

The Manage Authentication page allows you to reset a bank user's password (which also resets the user's configured "Remember Me" settings if your system is configured to use second factor user authentication), and lock or unlock a user's account (thereby preventing or granting the user access to the system).

To reset a user's password:

  1. Enter a new temporary password for the user in the New password field.
  2. Re-enter the password in the Confirm new password field.
  3. Click the Save button.

The user's password will be reset to the temporary password you entered, requiring the user to use that password when next logging into the system.

Note: If your system is configured to include second factor user authentication, resetting a user's password will also reset that user's configured "Remember Me" settings, requiring the user to answer a challenge question when next logging into the system.

To unlock a user's account:

  1. Clear the check mark from the Locked check box (so a check mark does not appear inside it).
  2. Click the Save button.

The user will now be able to access the application.

To lock a user's account:

  1. Select the Locked check box (so a check mark appears inside it).
  2. Click the Save button.

The user will now be prevented from accessing the application.
