The Edit User Roles page allows you to change the roles (such as Operator or Administrator) that a user has been assigned. Each role represents a group of permissions that determine what processing tasks the user can perform; these tasks can be modified to fit into your bank workflow. For example, the Customer Operator by default can create, modify or delete deposits, and balance deposits.
If your system is configured to use deposit limits, you can also lower the configured limits for an individual user when the system defaults do not suit your processing requirements. When assigning operator- and supervisor-type roles, the page will include a Single Deposit and Item Limits table (for operator-type roles) and a Multi-Deposit Limits table (for supervisor-type roles), allowing you to override the configured default values by entering new limits for this particular user. You can only enter override values that are lower than the identified Customer Limit value.
Tip: You can work with multiple roles simultaneously by pressing and holding the CTRL key while selecting roles to either assign or remove roles.
Note: If your system is configured to allow deposit limits by capture source, the Single Deposit and Item Limits section of the page will include an additional Capture Sources drop-down menu. The new menu contains entries for all configured capture sources identified when the feature was enabled as well as a generic entry (which will be used when the originating capture source does not match one of the configured capture sources). Selecting one of the entries from the menu allows you to set specific Deposit amount ($), Item amount ($), and Item count overrides for each configured capture source. These separate limits allow you to restrict the amounts and counts users are permitted when making deposits from selected capture sources.
You can only enter override values that are lower than the identified Customer Limit value.
Note: If your system is configured for user-level tier assignment and you have the appropriate permission and role, you can select the Custom tier radio button to override the user's inherited customer-level tier, allowing you to assign any defined tier to the current user. Additionally, you can lower or raise any of the deposit limits identified in a user-assigned tier and designate a user-specific risk category to fully-customize user processing limits and risk ratings on a user-by-user basis.
