Deposit Item List - Bulk Deposits

The Deposit Item List page displays general deposit information, as well as specific information about each item in the deposit. From this page, you can monitor deposit information as you capture items and, as necessary, make any required changes to individual deposit items or the deposit details to complete the deposit. Once completed, the deposit is sent to your bank for further processing.

The page displays information about your current deposit in three main areas of the page (the Deposit summary, the Transactions list, and the Transaction Details list.

The Deposit summary shows the status of the deposit, and details about the number of transactions, deposit items, errors, deposit credit totals, debit totals, and the balancing difference. The summary includes the following fields:

Description

Status

The current processing state of the deposit (for example, Open-Processing or Open-Incomplete).

Transactions

The total number of transactions in this deposit.

Items

The total number of items, scanned or virtual, in this deposit.

Errors

The total number of items that have errors (missing fields, misread characters, unknown items).

Credit Total ($)

The total current amount recognized for all credit items in the deposit.

Debit Total ($)

The total current amount recognized for all debit items (cheques) in the deposit.

Balance ($)

For a bulk deposit to be considered balanced, each transaction within the deposit must be in balance, as well as the overall deposit.

If the Credit Total ($) matches the Debit Total ($), the Balance ($) will be 0 and green, indicating the deposit is balanced.

If the Credit Total ($) does not match the Debit Total ($), the Balance ($) will be red, indicating the deposit is not balanced. If the value is contained in brackets, the total value of credit items in the deposit is less than the total value of the debit items in the deposit. If the value is not in brackets, the total value of credit items in the deposit is greater than the total value of the debit items in the deposit.

The Transactions list shows the status of each transaction, and details about whether the transaction is balanced. The list includes the following fields:

All and With Errors radio buttons

Allows you to filter the list of transactions to show only transactions with errors. Select the With Errors radio button to turn the filter on, and select the All radio button to turn the filter off.

Tasks

Identify actions you can perform on the transaction.

  • Click the Batch Header (virtual credit item) icon to display the batch header for the deposit.
  • Click the Edit Transaction (edit transaction icon) icon to display the transaction items in the Transaction Details list.
  • Click the Delete Transaction (delete transaction icon) icon to remove the transaction (and all items in the transaction) from the deposit.
  • Click the Reject Transaction (icon_trans_reject) icon to reject the transaction (and all items in the transaction) and remove the transaction from the deposit.

Transactions containing items with errors requiring your attention are identified with a warning (warning icon) icon.

(Transaction Total)

Identifies whether the transaction is in balance.

If the Credit Total ($) matches the Debit Total ($), the Balance ($) will be 0 and green, indicating the transaction is balanced.

If the Credit Total ($) does not match the Debit Total ($), the Balance ($) will be red, indicating the transaction is not balanced. If the value is contained in brackets, the transaction credit total is less than the debit total. If the value is not in brackets, the transaction credit total is greater than the debit total.

Identifies how many transactions are in the deposit. When there are multiple pages, the left and right arrow keys allow you to move through the pages.

The Transaction Details list displays a record for each item that is part of the selected transaction, and includes the following fields:

Items

The number of items in the transaction.

Credit Total ($)

The total current amount recognized for all credit items in the transaction.

Debit Total ($)

The total current amount recognized for all debit items in the transaction.

Balance ($)

Identifies whether the transaction is in balance.

If the Credit Total ($) matches the Debit Total ($), the Balance ($) will be 0 and green, indicating the transaction is balanced.

If the Credit Total ($) does not match the Debit Total ($), the Balance ($) will be red, indicating the transaction is not balanced. If the value is contained in brackets, the transaction credit total is less than the debit total. If the value is not in brackets, the transaction credit total is greater than the debit total.

Tasks

Identify actions you can perform on the item.

  • Click the Edit () icon to view the item's image and edit the item's item information on the Edit Deposit Item page.
  • Click the Delete () icon to remove the item from the transaction.
  • Click the Reject (icon_reject) icon to reject an item and remove it from the transaction.

Sequence

The order in which the item was captured or, if the transaction items have been resequenced, the current item sequence.

Errors

Indicate whether the item's data fields require your attention. These items are identified with a warning (warning icon) icon.

Item Type

The document identification applied to this item.

Amount ($)

The dollar amount of the item.

Account

The item's account number.

Routing Transit

The item's routing transit number.

Completing a Bulk Deposit

After scanning all deposit items, depending on how the bank has configured the application, the actual steps you must perform to complete (finish) the deposit will vary, and could include:

Once all required changes have been made, the Complete button will become available to indicate that the deposit is ready and can be sent to your bank for further processing.
